Learning Resource Room/Services
St. Charles Borromeo Academy has a long standing tradition of assisting students in the classroom, in adapting curriculum and instruction to best serve individual learning needs, and in pull out programs. Diagnostic testing is done through the resource room. A request for testing may come from either parent/guardian or teacher. The results of prior testing, in combination with in school indicators and tests, will aid in developing a service plan to best support the academic development of the student.

Further testing by a qualified professional may be necessary to provide specific information regarding academic challenges. A recommendation for services will be made based on test results. A student service plan will be created if needed. The plan is reviewed by parents/guardians, teacher, and resource room on a regular basis to monitor progress. School-based services are coordinated with regular classroom scheduling. For questions regarding current programs, please contact the school office at 816-436-1009
